This privacy policy applies to the mobile game Gladiator Arena: Team Battle
(package ovh.rootm.gladiatorball, the "Game"), published on Google Play.
The Game is developed and operated by Tomasz Maciorowski (the "Developer",
"we"), an individual developer, who is the data controller for the data described below.
You can reach us at any time at tm@rootm.ovh.
| Data | Why | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| Device model, operating system version, language setting | Running the game, adjusting graphics quality and interface language | Developer (game server) |
| IP address | Technically required to connect you to the game server and matchmaker | Developer (game server) |
| Player nickname | Identifying you inside a match; shown to other players in the same match | Developer (game server), other players in your match |
| Advertising ID (AAID) and ad interaction data | Displaying advertisements between matches | Google AdMob |
| Google Play Games profile name | Pre-filling your in-game nickname, only if you sign in to Play Games | Google Play Games Services |
| Purchase status of the "remove ads" product | Disabling advertisements for players who bought the product | Google Play Billing |
The Game automatically collects technical information needed to run the online match: the type of mobile device you use, its operating system and language, your IP address, and general analytical information about the way you use the application. Your IP address is processed because it is technically unavoidable when connecting a client to a game server and to the matchmaker. We do not build advertising or marketing profiles from this data, and we do not sell it.
The Game asks you for a nickname. The nickname is stored on your device and sent to the game server so that it can be displayed to the other players taking part in the same match. Please do not use your real name, e-mail address or any other personal detail as your nickname. You can change the nickname at any time in the game settings.
The Game displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To do this, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process your device's advertising identifier (AAID), your IP address and information about your interaction with the ads. This data is processed by Google as an independent controller in line with its own policies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you buy the "remove ads" product, the Game stops requesting and displaying advertisements, and the advertising SDK is no longer used to serve you ads.
If you are located in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the Game asks for your consent before personalised advertising is used. The consent dialog is provided through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and is shown when you first start the Game. Depending on your choice, you may be shown personalised ads, non-personalised ads, or no ads.
You can change or withdraw this consent at any time in the Game, under Settings → About → Privacy settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
The Game offers one optional one-time purchase that removes advertisements. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment card details, billing address or any other payment data. The Game only learns whether the product has been purchased, and stores that fact locally on your device so that ads stay disabled.
If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, the Game reads your Play Games display name and uses it to pre-fill your in-game nickname. It is not used for anything else, and signing in is optional — the Game is fully playable without it.
The Game uses the following services, each with its own privacy policy:
Match data (nickname, connection details and match state) exists on the game server only for as long as the match runs, and is discarded when the match ends. Server diagnostic logs, which may contain IP addresses, are kept for no longer than 30 days and are then deleted. Settings and your nickname are stored locally on your device — uninstalling the Game removes them.
You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of ad personalisation in your Android settings, under Settings → Google → Ads. If you would like us to delete any data we hold about you, or to ask what we hold, write to tm@rootm.ovh and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact tm@rootm.ovh.
We take the protection of your data seriously and apply appropriate technical measures to prevent unauthorised access to the information transmitted between the game client and the server. Please note that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
The Game is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact tm@rootm.ovh and we will delete it.
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page together with a new "last updated" date. We advise you to review this page periodically.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or about how the Game handles your data, contact tm@rootm.ovh.
